In 1998, Chrysler Group, LLC merged with Daimler-Benz to form DaimlerChrysler. The merger produced several cars, trucks, and vans both car brands that have similar designs. Prime examples of this are the Chrylser Crossfire, and the Mercedes SLK. There's also the Dodge Sprinter, and the Mercedes Sprinter. The similarities don't stop there. -Benz also manufactured the transmissions that could be found in Chrysler's Jeep models, like the Grand Cherokee or Commander. Daimler sold off Chrysler in 2007, citing losses in sales.
